Trump sell fighter planes to Bahrain

The troll decided to ignore Bahrain's repression and sell it fighter planes anyway.

Bahrain has no real need for fighter planes, but the sale will enrich some of the troll's cronies. That seems to be his principle arms policy goal.

The US claims to support human rights and democracy around the world. This has been partly false for a long time, but there is a kernel of truth in it. The troll is getting rid of that kernel of truth, and doing it so blatantly that associating the US with human rights or democracy will be seen as ludicrous.

That won't help global human rights, though. The rivals of the US are no friends of democracy or human rights.

The article describes the batteries as "100 megawatts", which is the wrong dimension to measure the capacity of a battery. But this sort of project is what the world needs -- and not just in one place.
