Instead of living from paycheck to paycheck, now people live from work hour to work hour, insecure about whether they will get enough work hours to pay the bills, and on call all the time.
I suggest passing a law that stores must tell hourly wage workers their schedule for each week by the previous Friday. Work outside the previously stated schedule should be paid time and a half.
