Discrimination against homosexuals

An appeal court ruled that existing US nondiscrimination law is violated by workplace discrimination against homosexuals.

I suppose this will go to the Supreme Court, but the argument seems valid to me.

Palestinians' land designated as "nature reserve"

Israel designated Palestinians' land a "nature reserve" so they cannot grow anything. Just now it uprooted olive trees planted there.

Nature reserves are useful, but an occupation government has no right to impose such decisions on the occupied people.

Israelis defiantly protest state plans

The Israeli state plans to make a list of people that advocate boycotting products of Israel's colonies in Palestinian territory. A thousand Israelis protested defiantly saying, "Add me to your list".

They showed real courage. It's safe for me to advocate this boycott in the US, though recent politically biased laws now penalize any company that follows the boycott. In Israel, its supporters face real repression. Under a law passed a few years ago, anyone advocating such a boycott in Israel is subject to essentially unlimited financial penalties — as much as any inhabitant of the colonies wishes to impose.
