John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
jeudi 26 août 2021 à 02:00The House of Representatives passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which updates the existing Voting Rights Act to restore the pre-clearance requirement for voter suppression laws.
This would be an important advance, but it does not go as far as the For the People Act.
To pass either of them would require the Senate Democrats to eliminate the filibuster.
