Protesters in British Columbia are trying to stop the unsustainable logging of old-growth forests.

Humans have already eliminated most of the old-growth forests that existed 100 years ago. It's time to stop before they are all gone.

As the supply of these woods decreases, their price will rise. If today's high prices are taken as a reason not to stop now, higher prices in the future will always be a reason to keep logging — until there are no old-growth forests left. That is absurd, so this reason is invalid.
