Declaring political inconvenience as "security threat"

Israel has declared Palestinian Laith Abu Zeyad a "security threat" because he is a political inconvenience: a campaigner for Amnesty International who argues and lobbies against the occupation.

When governments deny people political rights, and don't distinguish between political opposition and war, it is a natural step for them to equate "campaigners for some cause" with "security threats."

Plutocracy has a general tendency to do this. Compare with what US governments (under Obama and under the conman) have done to drug factory inspections and mean inspections.

Military spending

Since 1979 at least, US military spending has generally increased. It is now higher than at during the cold war, higher than during the Vietnam war, and higher than during the Korean war.

Americans need to trim that large excess, in order to stop starving the country's needs (along with millions of Americans). This is why some progressives in Congress are voting against the NDAA.
