Mitochondria replacement prohibited
mardi 16 février 2016 à 01:00Congress has prohibited mitochondria replacement (to make a healthy embryo) in the US.
This appears to be SCROTUS at work.
I think that public funds should not be spent on fertility treatments. Public policy should aim for a lower birthrate, as long as the human population is too high and still rising.
The US birth rate is low enough for population stability, if it were not for immigration; but since we do have immigration, and the US population is still rising, we should aim to reduce both causes of population increase.
