A side view of our spaceship. At the base of the solar arrays, a few white boxes: the batteries we’re in charge of replacing in January. A few spacewalks are planned next year to keep the Space Station operating smoothly. Stay tuned for more information from NASA about this.

Notre vaisseau vu de côté. Sous les panneaux solaires, quelques boîtes blanches : ce sont les batteries qu’on devra remplacer en janvier. Quelques sorties extravéhiculaires sont prévues l’an prochain pour assurer le bon fonctionnement de la Station spatiale. La NASA communiquera bientôt plus d’informations à ce sujet !

On the International Space Station, the control centre follows us all day long, also with live video (streamed to NASA TV by the way)… You can watch too via this link. Sometimes the display goes dark when we change communication satellites and there is a "loss of signal". The mission directors decide which cameras to stream, sometimes it will be a view of Earth and sometimes views from inside the Space Station – they do keep some things private ;) www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/iss_ustream.html


Sur l’ISS, le centre de contrôle nous suit toute la journée, y compris en nous filmant. Vous pouvez suivre sur NASA TV au passage (lien ci-dessous). Parfois l’écran devient noir quand on change de satellite de transmission et que l’on « perd le signal ». Ce sont les directeurs de mission qui décident de la diffusion : parfois il s’agit d’une vue de la Terre, parfois vous pouvez voir l’intérieur de la Station. It is early morning and we are already at work in space! Research never stops on the International Space Station except when we have to fix hi-tech equipment. Here Peggy is MacGyvering the heck out of a stuck furnace. Happy Monday everyone!

Il est tôt mais on est déjà au travail dans la Station spatiale. On n’arrête pas la science sur l’ISS, sauf pour réparer de l’équipement de haute technologie. Ici Peggy en mode MacGyver pour débloquer un four. Bon lundi à tous !
