Grenoble, France. One of their space claims to fame is that Air Liquide make the Space Station freezers here that keep all our samples in cold storage. In case you followed our week, you would know that lots of our frozen samples have returned to Earth today in Cargo Dragon. It is cold enough in Grenoble in the winter, so it is somewhat surprising that they developed the one and only space freezer but who am I to question it . The city is a great place for winter sport enthusiasts as the Alps are very close, in fact you can see how the city is sandwiched in between the mountains, on the Isère river. Do you see that white circle? That is the European Synchotron Radiation Facility, another science claim to fame!
