when I start feeling really bad I have a routine to calm myself down and distract myself from whatever thoughts are causing me anxiety. You can do whatever works for you, but mainly I like to watch really bad movies on netflix and laugh at them, or eat something warm and sweet like a brownie in a mug (theyre really easy to make all you need is some brownie ingredients, a mug and a microwave and it takes like 5 minutes) sometimes I listen to music and pace around, or talk to my friends about how I’m feeling so I know I shouldn’t get so worked up over certain things. If you’re in a public setting it helps to bring some kind of portable stress reliever with you, whether it’s a funny/happy book, a cellphone app, one of those squishy things you squeeze, a bottle of lavender oil cause lavender is soooo good at calming ppl down for some reason. just dab a lil of that on your wrist or on the back of your neck. if things get too overwhelming for you never feel bad about having to take a break.
