La nouvelle île volcanique pourrait exploser

 

L’Agence de Sécurité Maritime a fait remarquer le 26 août 2014 que la nouvelle île volcanique au large de Tokyo a vu l’un de ses cratères colmaté par de la lave, l’énergie ainsi accumulée pourrait provoquer une énorme explosion.

D’après leur exploration aérienne, l’un des cratères du nord de l’île forme un “tertre de lave” constitué par de la lave recouvrant le cratère.
Le tertre fait environ 90 m de diamètre sur 10 m de haut.
Le Pr. Nogami de l’Institut de Technologie de Tokyo déclare que cette énergie accumulée pourrait provoquer une énorme explosion.

The new volcanic island offshore Tokyo has had one of the craters stuck by lava, storing the energy to cause a massive explosion, the Maritime Safety Agency observed on 8/26/2014.

 

From their the aerial survey, one of the craters in the northern part of the island is forming “lava mound”, which is the accumulated lava to cover the crater.

The mound is approx. 90m diameter, 10m height.

Prof. Nogami from Tokyo Inst. of Technology comments it’s storing the energy of lava to cause a potential massive explosion.
