Adding a Diner Inside The Factory

vendredi 20 février 2015 à 23:44

So it’s been almost 9 months of my friends and I living inside of the the factory. We wanted to make some more additions but wanted to put our heads together and figure out what we wanted to achieve next. We sat down and had a  meeting and realized we were sick of eating fast food every day. We came up with a brilliant idea of putting a diner inside the factory.

We already had the space and but wanted to make it look authentic. We had it built and it was up to us to put the finishing touches on the place. We decided to get some diner lights to put inside and they really made a difference. Diner lighting has always been eye catching, the old style diners thrived on this aspect and I wanted to bring it to life in my factory. I put up vintage diner lighting fixtures to match the vintage furniture that gives diners the comforting look.

Once everything was finished we couldn’t believe our eyes. We no longer had to leave to get food, we had everything we needed right in here. We hired a cook and and a small staff to serve us and we even allowed them to live in the factory. I found them at an old diner down the street and asked if they wanted to come work in a much cooler location and would be payed the same but would only serve my friends and I. They loved the idea and now here we are sitting at this beautiful place with 1950’s dinner lights just glowing at us.

Premier Barn Light Company

vendredi 5 décembre 2014 à 22:44

After living in my factory for a while I decided to start remodeling again. I really like the industrial barn lights that were installed and wanted to work on some other rooms in the factory as well. I needed some ideas and thought I would check out houzz for some inspiration. Now now too many people have a factory like mine, but I can definitely get ideas from houses and business that have great decorating and style.

I found BarnLight Originals on houzz and started glancing at some of the work they had done and really liked what I saw. A few of their recent projects were awesome and their lighting fixtures were second to none. So I decided to go with them and order some lights that would look good in the factory.

I ordered a few ceiling lights, wall lights, and some really cool chandeliers that looked spectacular on a vaulted ceiling.

This ceiling barnlight gave my office a great feel to it, and not to mention produced a heck of a light which made doing office work and other activities much easier.

I hung this chandelier fixture from my vaulted ceiling in my underpass and it came out great.

I will keep you updated on more of my projects as we mover forward.

Industrial Lighting For My Factory

jeudi 10 juillet 2014 à 00:14

There was a big piece of land across the road from my childhood home.  After school, my friends and I would always run over there to play baseball, football, and any other sports that were in season. During basketball season we even put up a court and would spend many hours at a time. We wanted to keep playing after dark so my dad helped us install some industrial barn lights that would light up the entire field.

As we got older and continued to go there, we saw someone had put up a for sale sign with a phone number on it. We were 17 and were nervous that someone would buy the property and we could no longer hang out and play the sports we grew up playing.  A few months passed and the sign still remained,  and my 18th birthday was just around the corner. I didn’t have much money but I had saved enough to buy a load of lottery tickets.

So on my birthday I went to the liquor store and bought 40 lottery tickets and decided to scratch them at the store, because it had really good lighting. On the last ticket I had, after not winning any money, I won big! I had won 100 million dollars and was super stoked. I ran home and told my friend and said the first thing we’ll do is buy that land and build a fun factory! I wanted it to have a place to play every sport we loved, as well as a an office and a lounge room where we could all hang out.

Another really important factor was to have fantastic lighting. I wanted barn pendant light fixtures throughout the entire factory and in the warehouse I wanted industrial pendant lighting. This was going to be a place where we could hang out all day long, because my boys and I will never work a day in our lives. The only thing on our mind is to have fun and compete all the time.  A year later it was all finished, and we spent the majority of our time in there. I had 20 flat screen TVs put up throughout the factory and it would have sports-center on all day.

We would even throw massive bangers and  would have major celebrities and athletes come to our parties. It is the coolest place ever and we don’t plan on ever leaving. I wanted to share with you a few pictures of the vintage barn pendant lights I had installed.

Ruby On Rails
