Total state surveillance

The UK government wants the state to monitor the contents of your phone calls and other communications, not only who you talk with.

This follows the examples of Australia and France in giving authorizing total state surveillance.

All these governments justify total surveillance by pointing at smaller dangers, such as the occasional religious fanatic.
