Two years of preparation for the Adani Carmichael coal mine in Queensland have pumped out so much groundwater that springs in the region are drying up.

The reason this mine should not exist is that it's a coal mine and will speed global heating disaster, but the planet-roaster government of Australia doesn't care about 30 years from now. There is a chance that the damage to groundwater can be used to stop the mine.
